A protest stand by the family of Sheikh Al-Shaibani in front of the Aden Governorate building, demanding the disclosure of his fate




The family of the kidnapped Sheikh Abdul Qader Al-Shaibani (70 years) organized a protest stand in front of the building of the Governorate of Aden, to demand the disclosure of his fate and his release.

On the 30th of last October, gunmen kidnapped Sheikh Al-Shaibani from Aden, which is under the control of the STC, while he was on his way to treatment in Egypt, and took him to an unknown destination.

The family raised banners calling on the security services to quickly reveal the fate of the kidnapped Sheikh, who suffers from a cancerous tumor and several diseases.

In a statement, the family appealed to the kidnappers to release him out of respect for his old age and appreciation of his health, as the disease crippled him and he could only walk with the help of his children.

She explained that she informed the official authorities in the governorate of Aden and had not received any information about the whereabouts and condition of Sheikh Al-Shaibani until these moments, and every day of delay is more pain and fatigue for the family and the sick Sheikh.

“We, the family of Sheikh Al-Shaibani, assure everyone that our father is innocent of any accusation that may be fabricated against him,” the statement added.

The statement appealed to the President of the Republic, the Governor of Aden Governorate, and the Head of the Security Committee in the Governorate to expedite the removal of injustice from Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Shaibani, to disclose his status, and to immediately release him to continue the journey of his treatment, as he is entitled to honor.

Sheikh “Abdul Qadir Al-Shaibani” was kidnapped by gunmen in the Mansoura district, north of Aden, while he was on his way to Aden airport to travel to the Egyptian capital Cairo for the purpose of treatment.
