Today, Tuesday, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, received the draft rules regulating the work of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and the legal and economic teams, in accordance with Article 3 of the announcement of the transfer of power in the country.
The third article of the announcement of the transfer of power stipulates the formation of a legal team of competent national competencies to formulate the draft rules regulating the work of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and the two legal and economic teams formed under the declaration, provided that it is submitted to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council for approval and promulgation by law.
The same article included the legal team presenting its advisory opinion on legislative and constitutional issues to the Presidential Leadership Council upon a request from the council chairman.
This came during President Rashad Al-Alimi’s reception to Judge Hammoud Al-Hatar, acting head of the legal team, who handed over a copy of the draft in the presence of members of the team, Muhammad Al-Amiri, Ahmed Arman, Nihal Al-Awlaki, Ahmed Attia, Muhammad Saleh, Nabila Al-Hakimi.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council listened from the team members to a detailed explanation about the content of the draft, which reflected the conscious national responsibility of the team in the exceptional circumstances and the benefits of restoring the state, in accordance with the pledges of the Leadership Council supported by the brothers in the Alliance to Support Legitimacy, and the international community.
His Excellency the President commended the efforts made by the legal team to come up with a draft of this draft, which, after its approval, would represent an additional legislative reference to move forward in achieving the aspirations and hopes of the Yemeni people in enforcing the rule of law and protecting the broad national coalition in order to restore the state and bring peace to Yemen.
