The Deputy Head of the Media Department of the Yemeni Reform Gathering, Mr. Adnan Al-Odaini, reiterated the party’s position in support of the armed forces in restoring state institutions and protecting the dreams and aspirations of Yemenis, and the party’s complete bias to the will of the people, which is recognized by the constitution and international charters and supported by Security Council resolutions and United Nations statements.
Al-Odaini said in a series of tweets to him on Twitter, “With the demands for the necessity to comment on the talk of the former UN envoy, Jamal bin Omar, bin Omar presented a positive testimony about Islah as a coherent national force that was a target of the Houthi militia during the battle to overthrow Yemen, but his talk about having reform to form an armed group. It is not true that it contradicts the Yemeni political system, which stipulates preventing parties from owning military formations.
Al-Odaini added, “The Yemeni Rally for Reform is a party that works according to the constitution and law in Yemen and with the usual mechanisms, and derives its presence, name and descriptions from the legal authority in the country.”
Al-Odaini expressed his surprise at the attempt to join the party with an external organization, pointing out that the first people to take into account this fact is Jamal bin Omar, but he did not do so, unfortunately..
