This evening, Saturday, June 12, 2021, a large electronic demonstration will start denouncing the continuation of the Houthi siege on Taiz, and its exclusion from the existing negotiations to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
The Taiz Human Rights Center said that the demonstration, which will start at half past seven in the evening, and will last for a week, comes to denounce the unjust siege imposed by the Houthi militia on the city of Taiz for the seventh year in a row, and to denounce the continued international silence in front of this crime and to exclude the siege of Taiz from the existing negotiations to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
The center announced that the electronic campaign will be under the hashtag (# Lift the Siege on Taiz) (#EndTaizSiege ), under which previous campaigns were implemented to shed light on the suffering of millions of residents of the city of Taiz as a result of the crime of suffocating siege and the difficulty of navigating through rough roads and bringing food, goods and medicines into the besieged city
The center’s human rights campaign and activities coincide with humanitarian demands to quickly end the siege on the city of Taiz, and for the United Nations and the legitimate government to assume their duty towards the suffering of the people of Taiz and relieve the civilians whose burdens the siege has burdened.
