Today, Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr.Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed with the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Hans Grundberg, Russian Ambassador Vladimir Didushkin, and Chinese Ambassador Kang Yong, separately, developments in the Yemeni file and the efforts made to bring peace.
The foreign minister pointed out that the militia’s continued attack on Mareb confirms the aggressive nature of the militia and its dependence on Iran’s subversive agenda to destabilize security and stability in Yemen and the region.
Stressing the importance of the international community putting pressure on the Houthi militia and the Iranian regime in order to reach a political settlement to end the suffering of the Yemenis and stop the futile war on the Yemenis.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs touched on the repercussions of the continued military escalation of the Houthi coup militia on the Marib governorate and its daily targeting of populated areas with ballistic missiles and bombed drones … indicating the exacerbation of the human suffering experienced by the people of Yemen in general and the displaced in the governorate in particular.
Bin Mubarak explained that the continuation of this military escalation in light of the international efforts and international efforts to end the war and establish peace, reflects the unwillingness of these militias to reach a peaceful solution.
Stressing the importance of exerting maximum pressure on the Houthi militias in order to stop their escalation and respond to calls for peace.
He affirmed the Yemeni government’s keenness to end the suffering of the Yemeni people through reaching a comprehensive and sustainable peace based on the agreed upon basic references.
For his part, the European Union ambassador affirmed the EU’s support for efforts to bring peace to Yemen and its support for the unity, security and stability of Yemen.
The Russian ambassador also affirmed his country’s stand by Yemen’s side and its support for a peaceful solution, ending the war, and preserving the unity, security and stability of Yemen.
In turn, the Chinese ambassador reaffirmed his country’s firm and supportive stance for Yemen, its unity, stability and territorial integrity, and its support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and restoring security and stability in Yemen.
