Do not use milk with curd, fish and fruits

Milk has great importance in Ayurveda. Milk not only contains protein but also nutrients like vitamins A, B1, B2, B12, D, potassium and magnesium. Protein is the best source for vegetarians, but are you aware that consuming milk with certain ingredients can have side-effects on the body.

Fruit and milk The use of milk and fruit has been suggested separately in Ayurveda. Milk is a type of animal protein that can cause digestive problems, acidity and yeast in the digestive tract when combined with certain fruits such as bananas.

fish and milk Milk and fish should never be taken together or immediately back and forth. Milk needs time to be digested in the body, as many nutrients are present in it. Mixing it with any other type of protein like meat and fish puts a lot of pressure on the digestive system.

Yogurt and milk- Milk and curd are also two sources of animal protein and therefore should not be used together. There is a risk of diarrhea, acidity and gas in the result of mixing both together.

Watermelon and milk Along with keeping the body hydrated, watermelon has many benefits. Watermelon contains many nutrients including potassium, fiber, but taking it with milk can cause some discomfort and produce more gas than normal. Therefore, it is better to avoid drinking milk after eating a little watermelon.

When to consume milk- It is believed that there is a special time to drink milk. According to Ayurveda specialist Dr Abrar Multani, if you want to build your body, then drink milk in the morning, otherwise consume milk at night.
