Sources reported that the Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector in Egypt will soon choose one of the 3 Chinese companies that submitted their offers to produce electric cars in the suburb of Helwan, south of Cairo.
She added, “After choosing the Chinese company, assembly equipment will be supplied, and the Egyptian companies that supply local parts for the car will be selected.”
On the other hand, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt stated that its Minister, Eng. Tarek El Molla, discussed yesterday evening with a delegation from the Italian company Eni the company’s activities in Egypt, current and future projects and investment pumping programs within the framework of the plan set to increase production levels from the current fields. He also reviewed the position of the new concession areas that Eni won in the first digital global bid, and the developments in international oil prices and their impact on opportunities to increase investment injections.
She added, “The meeting touched on discussing Eni’s current preparations to pump new investments in the Gulf of Suez and Nile Delta areas, in accordance with the commitment agreement signed last December to search for, develop and exploit oil.”
In the field of communications, a recent report issued by Telecom Egypt revealed that the number of landline subscribers in Egypt increased to 11.014 million subscribers at the end of the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to 9.85 million subscribers at the end of the same period in 2020, with a growth rate of 12 percent, compared to 10.579 million subscribers by the end of the third quarter of last year, a growth of 4 percent.
