Ginger- Take a piece of peeled ginger and chew it slowly. If you cannot chew ginger directly, then use its tea. Drink it daily. Ginger has a strong aroma and can enhance your sense of taste and smell. 

Pudina- Take 10 mint leaves and mix them in a cup of water. Then, boil it in a sauce pan. Once the mixture cools down after boiling, filter it and add some honey to it. After that drink it immediately. Mint leaves contain menthol. Its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties are evident in nature which can restore your taste and smell. 

Garlic- Mix 2-3 chopped garlic pods in a cup of water. Boil the mixture in a sauce pan. Once the mixture cools down, filter it completely and drink it. The anti-inflammatory properties of a compound derived from garlic are helpful in treating stuffy nose. 

Lemon- Mix honey and lemon in a glass of water. You can drink this drink immediately. This drink has a strong sour smell. The properties of both lemon and honey can help normalize taste and smell. 

Drink a lot of water- Drinking plenty of water helps in clearing the non-essential cough. Water keeps the body hydrated. This can help avoid taste and smell problems.
