For the second week in a row, vigils continue in Taiz to demand the lifting of the Houthi siege

Vigils continue in the city of Taiz, for the second week in a row, to demand the lifting of the Houthi siege on the city, which has been besieged for eight years.

During the sit-in at the port of Zaid al-Mushki’s tour, the protesters announced their denunciation and condemnation of the positions of the UN envoy and his bias towards the Houthi priesthood militia, a bias that contravenes his legal and moral duties under the charters of the United Nations.

The statement said, “Eight years ago, the siege of Taiz was imposed by the Iranian-backed Houthi priesthood militia, and this militia took the silence of the international community, and the envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General ignored the siege of Taiz as a cover for all terrorist actions carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.”

He added, “We no longer count a lot or a little on any statement uttered by a UN envoy, or an official in the international community about the siege of Taiz and the opening of its roads, until the emaciation reached with these statements that they are nothing more than an advertising or musical break broadcast by any of the satellite channels.” .

The statement called for the continuation of the escalation, as well as the condemnation of all the social and political components of the Taiz governorate, and the condemnation of the inaction of the international community towards the issues of Taiz and its siege.
