For the tenth day, in a row, the owners of shops in the city of Ibb continue their open and continuous strike in refusal of Houthi levies imposed on them by force of arms and authority.
Local sources said that shop owners are continuing their open and comprehensive strike, in refusal of Houthi levies imposed on them by force of arms, through the endowment office in the governorate. The latter, through the director of the Houthi leadership endowments, Bandar al-Assal, wants to impose very high rents equal to the endowments and the free, which was completely rejected by the citizens.
The Ibb Endowment owns dozens of shops and real estate in the city of Ibb and various directorates, and the militia, through its leaders, imposed new funds on these properties and shops, as the tenants reported that they are not commensurate with the deteriorating living and economic conditions in the country.
During the past days, the city of Ibb witnessed large protests, to demand the dismissal of the Houthi leader Bandar al-Asal, appointed by the militia as director of the Ibb Endowments, and to demand the cessation of what they say is the injustice they are subjected to.
The Houthi militia continues to kidnap about 30 citizens, most of whom are shop owners or workers, and refuses to release them, and pressures the kidnapped and their families to make pledges not to demonstrate again and to surrender to what the endowment office in the governorate imposes on them.
