For nearly 25 years, the GAC Group has promoted its independent innovation through joint ventures and collaborations, and through its extensive funding of its own research and development centers.
This investment gave great results after the company jumped 30 places from the previous classification, to the 176th place globally on the “Fortune 500” list issued in August 2021.
GAC indicated that despite the global economic downturn, it achieved a 5% growth in its revenues in 2020, and sold more than two million cars, pointing out that the figures for the first half of 2021 are particularly remarkable, as the total sales recorded an increase of more than 25 percent.
At this year’s investor meeting, GAC reviewed a number of its amazing technological achievements, which will form the foundations of its future growth to become among the world’s finest car manufacturers.
She explained that the slogan “No technology without GAC” honestly embodies the development strategy of it and its subsidiaries, adding that smart connectivity and new energy are at the heart of its plan, especially as it has recently developed and updated multiple technologies for its cars, including the L2++ driving assistance system. The robot taxi, which is a self-driving L4 car, the “magic box” car with its amazing design, and the “GIEC” cabin, which is one of the most advanced intelligent cabins in China.
