Government team: The militias’ unilateral action to open an unknown dirt road to Taiz bypasses the consultations





The government negotiating team to open the roads said that the militias’ unilateral action to open an unknown dirt road is an open attempt to frustrate the efforts of the United Nations and circumvent the ongoing consultations.

The team said in a statement, “Such methods, which the group used to impose its unilateral vision, completely violate the essence of the ongoing discussion process, and undermine the international efforts to resolve this humanitarian file, and clearly reveal preconceived intentions to evade the obligations stipulated in the armistice.”

He also called on the international community, and the whole world, to condemn the brutal siege imposed by the militias on Taiz governorate for seven years, and to put serious pressure on these militias to respect agreements and understandings, and to stop dealing with humanitarian issues in this disgraceful way, and to speedily abide by the terms of the UN armistice that requires the opening of main roads Facilitating the movement of civilians and goods, as a human right guaranteed by all international and humanitarian laws and norms.
