“The shortage is about to settle permanently”, was alarmed Jacques Guerin, president of the National Demographic Observatory of the Veterinary Profession, in the 2022 demographic Atlas of the profession. A profession under pressure, have worried professionals for several years. This observation is also confirmed in “canine” practice – the care of pets – but is felt more urgently in certain rural areas, where veterinarians are not on call to care for farm animals, in a profession where you don’t count your hours or your travels.
