Prince Khalid bin Salman, during his meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik, made it clear that the Kingdom will stand with Yemen and its people in order to overcome the crisis and reach a fair peace agreement that preserves the state, protects the rights of Yemenis, and prepares Yemen to start in the field of development and stability.

He pointed out that the Kingdom, in its desire to resolve the Yemeni crisis, presented an initiative to resume the political track, an initiative based on the foundations agreed upon according to the three references … and pointed out that the first tools to end human suffering are the ceasefire and the transition to the peace path.

The Saudi Deputy Defense Minister expressed his thanks to the Yemeni government for its swift and positive response to the initiative, and indicated that they support the efforts of the international envoy and the American envoy to Yemen, and are waiting for the Houthi coup militia to respond to the voice of reason and stop its escalation and its futile war against the Yemeni people.

The two sides also stressed that the peace initiative presented by the Kingdom to bring peace to Yemen represents an important path to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, and the importance of the international community playing its role and responsibilities in pressuring the Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran to yield to peace.
