Sankashti Chaturthi : According to legend, it is believed that marriage invitations were sent to all the deities at the time of marriage of Shri Hari Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi. This invitation was given by Vishnu. When the procession was being prepared on the wedding day, everyone saw that Ganeshji was not on this occasion. When the gods asked Vishnu the reason, God said that we have sent an invitation to father Bholenath. If Ganeshji wants to come with his father, then come. There was no need to even invite a separate invitation. The second thing is that they need half a man’s moong, one-half mana rice, one-half mana ghee and one-half heart laddu’s food throughout the day. It doesn’t matter if Ganeshji doesn’t come. Going to other’s house to eat and drink so much is not right.
