The students condemned the silence of the international community and the UN and US envoys regarding the heinous humanitarian crimes committed by the Houthi militia against the Yemeni people and the people of Marib Governorate, which encouraged them to commit more crimes, foremost of which is the siege applied to the people of the remote Abdiya district, which does not have any public services and stocks of food, medicine and fuel. and water.
The vigil warned the international community of the danger of its inaction in light of the continuation of the siege imposed on more than 150,000 people in the Abdiya district, with the continuous bombing of civilians with ballistic missiles, marches and heavy weapons. .
In the statement, which they distributed during the vigil, the students condemned the Houthi militia’s deprivation of female students in the districts of Abdiya and Harib from continuing their university education and forcing them to leave their classrooms by besieging some, blocking roads and preventing their passage, and transferring others with their families to displaced people in other areas in search of safety and needs. basic of life.
