Moein to Lenderking: The Houthi militia must be pressured to stop its war and attacks against civilians





Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik received today, the US special envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking, where they discussed the continuation of international efforts to bring peace to Yemen, the corresponding rejection and intransigence of the Houthi coup militia, and mutual views on developments in the situation in various aspects.

The meeting reviewed the proposals for peace and the government’s positive deal with it, and what the international community and the United Nations can do to exert pressure on the Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran to stop its war and attacks against civilians and displaced people and targeting Saudi lands, in addition to the government’s efforts to implement the Riyadh Agreement and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and support Desired in this aspect.

The international community supports the government’s efforts, programs and projects in a way that alleviates the suffering of the Yemeni people and the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Houthi coup militia since its coup against the legitimate authority and its ignition of war.

For his part, the American envoy praised the Yemeni government’s position in support of political solutions and the need for the Houthis to follow the same approach in a way that leads to stopping the war and achieving the aspirations of Yemenis for peace .. expressing concern about the continued attacks and the Houthi escalation on the Marib governorate, which contributed to deepening the humanitarian disaster and the importance of stopping these attacks immediately .

He also affirmed his country’s support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, and to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
