Ridhima Dilawari overcame a disappointing start to card a 1-under 71 to share the lead with Amandeep Drall in the first leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour here today. Ridhima began with a double-bogey but by the time the first round of the first leg ended, she had a share of the lead. Ridhima struck five birdies against two bogeys and a double-bogey at the Prestige Golfshire.

Sarnobat, Sheoran, Rajeshwari win trials
Asian Games champion and Tokyo Olympics bound Rahi Sarnobat won the women’s 25m pistol event at the national shooting trials today. Rahi shot 36 out of a possible 50 in the final to outgun Madhya Pradesh’s Chinki Yadav (34). Haryana’s Manu Bhaker, who had topped qualification with 582, finished third with a score of 27 in the final. Haryana’s Lakshay Sheoran and Rajeshwari Kumari of Punjab won the men’s and women’s T1 Trap competition, respectively. Rajeshwari topped qualifying with 110, and beat Shreyasi Singh of Bihar by seven points in the final.

Australian F1 postponed over quarantine
Formula One postponed the Australian Grand Prix from March to November because it would not have been possible for hundreds of team staff to quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival, the sports minister of Victoria state, Martin Pakula, has said. The Melbourne race is normally the season-opener but was given a new date of November 21 due to the Covid-19 crisis.
