Winfarm sells hygiene products for their farms, fodder seeds, but also electric fences to farmers. More than 14,000 references are cataloged. They are essentially consumables.
Best known by its main brand Vital Concept, Winfarm intends to double in size within five years and announces its intention to list on Euronext Growth. Approval has just been obtained from the Autorité des marchés financiers. “I choose the Stock Exchange and not financial funds which have a short-term reasoning”, indicated Patrice Etienne, the CEO of Winfarm.
Based in Loudéac (Côtes-d’Armor), where the company has a logistics platform of 17,000 square meters, Winfarm will achieve a turnover of 97 million euros this year, against 87 million euros in 2019. 60% of the business’s sales, made up of 260 employees, are made by telephone, but the company intends to strengthen internet sales, which currently generate 30% of the global volume. The rest of the activity comes from the two points of sale that the group owns in Maine-et-Loire as well as in Loudéac.
1,000 additional products per year
To keep its model growing, Winfarm, whose main competition is that of agricultural cooperatives, renews its offers every year by adding 1,000 products. In addition, the company, which reports 110,000 orders per year for an average basket of 2,300 euros, has set up an internal logistics organization in order to reduce delivery times.
Winfarm has a fleet of 50 trucks that take care of delivery to farmers from 13 regional platforms. And, to better distribute its risks, the company is expanding its customer potential for landscapers and targeting another new clientele in the equine sector (breeders, trainers, etc.).
Almost 3% of Winfarm’s sales are made in Belgium. The next European stop should be the Netherlands, “Where we are looking for a possibility of external growth”, says the leader. It raises awareness of the Vital Concept brand through cycling competition. In the last Tour de France, Vital Concept shared a team with B&B Hotels.
