The parties demanded the government and parliament to expedite the necessary legislation to criminalize the behavior of this group and classify it as one of the groups of violence and terrorism.

Today, Monday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the United States will designate the Houthi militia a “terrorist group.”

The Republic of Yemen welcomed the recent decision taken by the United States government to classify the Houthi group as a foreign terrorist organization, which is consistent with the Yemeni government’s demands to punish these terrorist militias.
