The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Engineer Mohsen Basura, affirmed the Yemeni legitimacy’s commitment to the UN truce, despite the arrogance of the Houthi coup militias and their intransigence in undermining all agreements.

This came during his meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General of the Middle East and Africa Department at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Kansuke Nagaoka, with whom he discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discuss the overall situation in Yemen.

The engineer, Basura, also reviewed developments modes in Yemen, stressing the importance of concerted efforts of the world and friends in Japan to provide more development, humanitarian and service aid to Yemen, and what the next stage requires by achieving economic stability and improving services for Yemeni citizens.

The Vice-President of the Council praised the depth of the distinguished historical relations between the two friendly countries in various political, economic and development fields, praising the support provided by Japan to Yemen in various fields, in order to mitigate the effects of the humanitarian crisis left by the Houthi militia war.

Bassura, in the meeting attended by members of the Council, Dr. Mahdi Ali Abdul Salam, Mabkhout bin Madi, Ensaf Mayo, Dr. Najeeb Ghanem, Abdullah Al-Noamani and the Japanese ambassador to Yemen, expressed our country’s appreciation for the positions fraternal The original role of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Yemeni people and their constitutional legitimacy in confronting the Iranian-backed Houthi gang and restoring state institutions and the support, humanitarian aid and service projects they provide to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.

For his part, the Japanese Assistant Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s continuation of providing development and humanitarian support to the Yemeni people, explaining that Japan will provide more projects and necessary assistance to Yemen, and resume support for development projects in coordination with the Yemeni government.

He renewed his country’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the unity, stability and security of Yemen, according to the Yemeni news agency “Saba”.
