Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik stressed not to allow the Houthi militia to distract the discussions in the talks as usual, and to focus on lifting the siege imposed on Taiz urgently and without any conditions.. He pointed out the importance of addressing other dilemmas that Taiz suffers from as a result of the siege imposed by the Houthis.
This came during his meeting today in the temporary capital of Aden, the government negotiating team regarding lifting the Houthi siege imposed on Taiz, according to the UN armistice, before heading to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the meetings called for by the UN envoy.
According to “Saba” agency, Dr. Moeen Abdul-Malik presented observations and directions to the government delegation and the importance of focusing on lifting the brutal Houthi siege imposed on Taiz governorate for more than seven years, after the government implemented all of its obligations under the provisions of the UN armistice… The Houthi militia’s procrastination and its repudiation of implementing its own in accordance with the armistice puts the international community in place and nations The United Nations faces its responsibility to nominate those who obstruct peace and deepen the human suffering of Yemenis and to take deterrent sanctions against the militia.
He also reiterated the keenness of the Presidential Command Council and the government to achieve peace in accordance with the agreed references, and to do everything possible to make the UN truce a success, in return for the Houthi militia’s renunciation of all its obligations.
