The Yemeni government has warned against the escalation of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the process of luring and recruiting African refugees and migrants in its areas of control.

Al-Eryani added, “The Houthi militia’s approval of the recruitment of African refugees and migrants, their involvement in suicide attacks, and their exploitation in hostilities targeting the security and stability of Yemen and neighboring countries and threatening international interests, is a war crime and crimes against humanity, and a clear violation of international laws and norms.”
Al-Eryani called on human rights organizations and relevant international organizations to condemn the Houthi terrorist militia’s recruitment of African migrants and refugees and their exploitation in hostilities, and to pressure the militia to stop using them as fuel for its absurd battles and implement the Iranian regime’s agenda and subversive policies in Yemen and the region.
