The health crisis was a trigger. For many French people, the teleworking or partial unemployment imposed have accelerated thinking, to fine-tune professional retraining projects. At the end of the first confinement, nearly half of the working people said they were considering changing jobs, according to a BVA study. And that’s even more today! This summer, “Obs” gives the floor to these reconverted Covid, to those who questioned everything, despite the difficulties (find here the entire series). Like Christophe Pacaud, 50, who abandoned his job as sales director in a group specializing in methanization and returned his house to Saint-Denis, for a woman, a garden and a new job in Troyes. It testifies :
“To be honest, it was germinating before. Since November 2019, I was maturing a change of situation. I finally initiated a conventional rupture at the end of March 2020, and left my box in June 2020. The first confinement was an accelerator. Teleworking, which allowed me to work from anywhere, opened up a world of possibilities.
For years, I was sales director for a major player in the bio-waste sector in France, and I am very proud of it. It was a great adventure, we started from nothing in 2012 and we structured a whole activity, going from zero to 40 million euros in turnover.
