AT the end of the year, Hayley Arceneaux, 29, will be the first cancer survivor to go to space. The young woman learned the incredible news over a phone call: “They just called me up and said ‘do you want to go to space?’, Immediately I said ‘yes’, called my mom, told her about it and she was just as surprised as me. I told her that I can’t let this chance pass“, confides the young woman.
It’s a childhood dream come true. At age 10, Hayley visited NASA and saw himself as an astronaut. But she is caught up by the disease, suffering from bone cancer. This space adventure, Hayley Arceneaux, dedicates it to sick children: “I never thought I would go to space, I would like to inspire other patients to dream big and not limit themselves. I hope to show them that anything is possible“. She will be one of the few tourists at travel aboard Space X. The vol is funded by billionaire Jared Isaacman, who plans to take three Soulricans drawn at random.
