Washington Sundar’s been on a high lately. The young all-rounder made a memorable test debut in Brisbane’s Gabba, where his four-wicket streak, his 62 crucial runs in partnership with Shardul Thakur in the first innings, and later his vital 22 of 29 balls in the second in 53-run stand with Rishabh Pant helped India win the test and break what has been commonly referred to as the Gabba jinx — India’s 32-year-old dry spell in that stadium.

Sundar’s now decided to commemorate India’s memorable test by naming his dog ‘Gabba’ after the stadium. He introduced his dog to the world on Twitter with a photo and a tweet that read: “Love is a four-legged word. World, meet Gabba ”.

Here are some reactions to his post.
